Rock meets windshield at 60 mph
When I pulled over there was another car behind me with the exact same
problem.
And note the rain drops on the windshield. Great timing!

A garter snake in our lightwell!
Alex and I were working from home today because of the holiday. We heard the front doorbell (which is weird, because we have a sign on it saying "please don't ring the doorbell.")
Alex went downstairs and saw Ana (our nanny) freaking out in Spanish about a snake in the lightwell so I ran downstairs and found this little garter snake.
Scooped him into a bag and dropped him into my NEIGHBORS yard... heh heh heh.

When I got in my car today to leave the officethe temperature outside of my car was 100F.

30 minutes later, when I reached the city, the temperature had fallen to a lovely 70F.

Looks like I wasn't the only one who didn't like the mural
A few weeks back I blogged about the commissioned grafitti at a corner market in my neighborhood. I didn't like it. Apparently, others didn't like it either.

Commissioned Graffiti, part deux
A few months back, Nathan and I noticed that Park's Farmer's Market had commissioned someone to put some graffiti up on their wall, and we got to watch them start their work.Well, we've been busy busy and haven't had a chance to walk by there in a LONG time to take a picture... but today we did. And here it is!
(it's kind of ugly if you ask me)

Commissioned Graffiti
On our way back from the pool today, Nathan and I came across what looked like a commissioned graffiti wall in the works at Farmers Market on the corner of Irving and 6th-ish. We stayed and watched (and listened to the loud music they had on) for a few minutes until I saw the "plans" that they had looked extremely uninteresting (lots of text).Maybe it will say "farmers market" or "organic fruit" or something rad like that g. booyah.
I'll take another picture next time I pass by and let you judge for yourself.
