Bébé nageur

It was Sam's turn on Friday to take Sidney to his swim class. And just like his instructor's note say: "Sidney: Gets excited by everything! Love him! :-)", he was a happy camper until the class got a bit too long...

But, here's "happy" baby:
I'm a little wha-ale, short and stout
here are my fins and here is my spout
when you have me up and sitting out
just tip me over and swim me about

Scott's birthday...

Yet another year for Scott and another great party for the little ones (and their parents!). After the cake, they all disappeared in Max's room to jump on his bed.

What a blast!

Gotta wash the mushrooms

Nathan and his little friend T had a lot of fun playing with her kitchen.

Overheard:

"Gotta wash the mushrooms"
"It's too hot"
A full chorus of "Happy Birthday"
"I'm taking it out of the fouuur so the mushrooms will be dry"

Soon she introduced her babies into the mix.
"We have to be quiet because the baby is sleeping, ok?" "Ok"
"Little monkey has poopies. I'm gonna change her."

I (heart) San Francisco

When I got in my car today to leave the officethe temperature outside of my car was 100F.

30 minutes later, when I reached the city, the temperature had fallen to a lovely 70F.

I (heart) SF!

I must be in the front row...

We started back up with music class this week. Nathan was a little shy at first with all the new kids, but once he realized he knew all the songs he warmed right up.

The Fell Family at Paradis Beach Park

Picnic at Paradise Beach Park

Sam and Alex

A friend of ours offered to take a picture of my bride and I while we were at the picnic.

We don't get many chances to be on the receiving end of a camera!

3 for 3

Since we put Nathan in his "big boy bed" (through 2 complete nights and one nap) he hasn't had a single accident.

Go, Nathan! Or, rather, "don't go, Nathan!" in this case.

Success!

This morning at around 7:00 AM, Alex heard Nathan get up from bed. I got up and walked into the hall, but didn't see anything. So I went in the bathroom and started to wash my face.

A few seconds later, Nathan threw open the door and walked in with a large bucket full of peepee.

"I'm awake" he explained. He held out the large bucket towards me and shook it a little to show me it was full. After carefully disposing of the contents of the bucket, I checked Nathans diaper.

Dry as a bone.

Yay Nathan!

I want to stand up!

Nathan finally finished on the potty (after some coercing) and went back into bed.

10:15 PM.

I sat back down with the intention of singing him a little song to help him settle back down.

"Part of being in a big boy bed," I said, "is taking on additional responsibility. You're a big boy now. You go pee pee in the toilet, you have a big boy bed. It's late. Maman and Papa want to go to bed. You need to go to bed, too."

"I want to stand up!" he exclaimed.

After a few tense seconds, he did indeed lie back down... and within 10 minutes was asleep.

4 peepees and a popo later...

Nathans first night in his big boy bed. Exciting stuff.

I told Alex when I first put him down "I don't think he's thought of getting back up."

4 peepees and a popo later... And here he is (pictured) at 10:00PM after dragging the plastic potty halfway down the hall... I concede I was dead wrong.

The Scooch

Sidney found a unique and surprisingly effective way of getting around.

For your viewing pleasure, we bring you: "the scooch."
